On August 15th, the annual Undergraduate Research Expo of the Douglas Research Centre took place, and it was a great success, with 20 poster presenters (a record), 15 grad student/postdoc judges, and over 60 enthusiastic participants. Prizes were given to the best poster presentations, given by the following students (also see attached picture):
First Place:
Marie-Ève Cloutier (Nicolas Cermakian and Lalit Srivastava's teams): Localization of Schizophrenia-Associated Protein Dysbindin-1 within the Suprachiasmatic Nucleus
Second Place:
David Bian (Tak Pan Wong's team): An Accurate and Marketless Tracking of Multiple Mice Using the Deep Learning Program DeepLabCut
Third Place:
Megan Park (Mallar Chakravarty's team): Localization of Alzheimer's Disease-Like Pathology in a Mouse Model by Immunofluorescence
