Standing committees provide researchers, employees, and students at the Douglas Research Centre with support
and guidance for the breadth of their activities.
Currently, there are 6 standing committees:
- Douglas Facility Animal Care Committee
- Douglas Health and Safety Committee
- Douglas Fundraising Committee
- Academic Affairs Committee
- Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee
- Grant Review Committee
Each of these committees is under the leadership of a Chair, who is a researcher who has been elected to that position for by the Douglas Research Centre principal investigators or nominated by the Executive Committee of the Research Centre. Members are selected by the committee’s Chair and approved by the Executive Committee. Each committee has an explicit mandate and is required to report its activities back to the Executive Committee once per year.
