Two new funding sources for the Douglas Open Science Trainee Committee

The Douglas Open Science Trainee Committee  has obtained support from Tremplin Consortium and the Tanenbaum Open Science Institute (TOSI) to offer a hands-on workshop series to the Douglas and McGill communities. The first workshop was held in December 2025 and guided trainees and staff into investigating open access policies and article processing charge discounts for their journals of interest.

This is the second Tremplin Ambassador Award received by the group led by Dr. Katie Lavigne. The first round of funding by Tremplin supported the Douglas Open Science Training Series, which had a total of 173 unique registrants across 8 talks now available on the Douglas YouTube channel.

Support from TOSI was awarded through the TOSI Trainee Council Sponsorship Fund, which funds open science projects in the McGill community.
