The Douglas renews its FRQS Research Centre status with flying colours

October 14, 2023

The Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé has announced the renewal of the Douglas Research Centre’s status as an FRQS Research Centre. The Douglas is proud to have been continuously supported by the FRQS since its creation in 1979, through its Centres de recherche funding program. This program supports 23 research centres across Quebec and has been instrumental in guaranteeing our success.

Every six years, the FRQS conducts a rigorous evaluation of its research centres to ensure that they are performing well in terms of governance, research output, training of future scientists, collaborations and global impact, and knowledge mobilization. We are proud to announce that as a result of the most recent evaluation, the Douglas Research Centre was renewed with flying colours for another six years.

The peer-review committee highlighted the high quality of research conducted at the Douglas, as well as the strong engagement of researchers and trainees in driving the Douglas toward its strategic priorities.

Thank you to the FRQS for their continued support and thank you to every member of the Douglas community for continuing to make our research centre such an exceptional environment!
