Join us on April 17 and 18 to discover the finalists of the Science POP competition at the provincial grand final at the IRCM, in the heart of Montreal! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to watch captivating presentations and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of science.
We invite you to come and cheer on the two finalists representing the Douglas Research Centre, who have qualified for this provincial final:
- Maria Zimmermann (Dr. Turecki’s team) in the Outreach category will present her project “Bridging the Gap Between Nature and Nurture: The Epigenome”,
- Zoey Chapman (Dr. Massimiliano Orri’s team) in the Media category, with her project “The Dark Side of Uncertainty”.

The Science POP contest offers three different challenges:
- Outreach Challenge, a 5-minute presentation designed to inform the general public about the research,
- Media Challenge, a 2-minute presentation accompanied by a press release,
- Sustainable health Challenge, a 7-minute presentation on how their work supports sustainable health.
