We are pleased to announce that the Roger J. Paiement Outreach Award has been renewed for 2024.
What is the Roger J. Paiement Outreach Award 2024?
Thanks to the generous support from Ms. Danielle T. Paiement, an award worth up to $1,000 is available to support the participation of graduate students (MSc and PhD candidates), postdoctoral fellows or residents at an international scientific conference to present their research work in the field of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, memory disorders or aging.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this award, the applicants must:
- Be registered in a graduate-level program (i.e., Master’s, Doctoral) in an accredited university or a postdoctoral fellow or a resident in Psychiatry presently conducting research.
- Be conducting your research work under the supervision of a principal investigator who is a member of the Douglas Research Centre.
- Be presenting either an oral or a poster presentation at the conference for which support is requested, on a topic related to the focus of this award (Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, memory disorders or aging).
- There are no restrictions on the proposed conference, as long as it is a national or international conference, and that it is related to your thesis research area.
- The conference must occur between January 1 and December 31, 2024. The award cannot be used for a different meeting than the one described in the application.
- Only expenses related specifically to the participation in the conference are eligible (e.g., travel, housing and poster production expenses; registration fees). The award will amount to the total of the expenses supported by receipts, up to a maximum of $1,000.
Value
Awardees will receive the award up to a maximal value of $1,000.

Late submissions, incomplete forms or submissions that do not fulfill the above criteria will NOT be considered.
