During a special evening, held in the context of the 90th Acfas Congress, Resolu Arts and Sciences launched its Nevada triptych on the theme of mental health.
The Nevada project has three components:
- A short story by Romain Pollender which, using magic realism, tells the story of a wandering walker who, deprived of all landmarks, seeks a path to Nevada.
- A play, also entitled Nevada, in which three psychiatrists try to discover the keys contained in the text submitted by a mysterious patient;
- A magazine of scientific mediation, Understanding Nevada, which clarifies and deepens the scientific data disseminated in the work, in a bio-psycho-social approach.
The lunch conference hosted by Yannick Villedieu (Résolu Arts et Sciences) presented the various aspects of the project:
- Reading of excerpts from the play Nevada performed by members of the cast of the play, including Marina Orsini;
- Interviews with director Romain Pollender, and scientific advisors Dr. Naguib Mechawar, researcher at the Douglas Institute and Alexandre Nicole, criminologist at the Pinel Institute, as well as Mélissa Khoury, Nevada cast member and psychology student;
- Launch of the short story, “Nevada” illustrated by Gabrielle Genois.
