Postdoctoral student Hsi Tiana Wei receives Mitacs Elevate scholarship

Postdoctoral student Hsi Tiana Wei has been awarded a Mitacs Elevate grant to support her research project entitled:

« Speech markers reveal brain oscillatory patterns reflecting thought disorder inPsychosis: An MEG investigation and a diagnostic tool development »

Under the supervision of Dr. Lena Palaniyappan, Hsi Wei will explore how speech markers can be used to better understand and diagnose thought disorder in psychosis. Using MEG (magnetoencephalography) imaging, her work aims to identify distinctive brain patterns associated with these disorders and develop an innovative diagnostic tool.

The Mitacs Elevate program supports postdoctoral researchers by fostering collaborations between the academic world and industrial or clinical partners.

Congratulations to Hsi Tiana Wei!
