Drs. Nathan Spreng, Judes Poirier, Sylvia Villeneuve and others awarded $2.7M to study loneliness and Alzheimer’s disease

Congratulations to our researchers, Drs. Judes Poirier and Sylvia Villeneuve, for their collaborative work on loneliness and Alzheimer’s disease, which was recently awarded a large grant from the NIH. Led by Nathan Spreng and Danilo Bzdoc, this work aims to advance our understanding of how social isolation and feelings of loneliness impact the brain and cognitive functioning in older adults.
