Dr. Manuela Ferrari obtains grants from SSHRC and from the Fondation du Barreau du Québec

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Manuela Ferrari has just been awarded a SSHRC Insight Development Grant Competition Year 2022!

Dr. Ferrari's project, entitled, "Building a theoretical framework for youth-led video game interventions: Lessons from the Road Ahead videogame project," brings together 12 co-applicants in addition to herself, and was one of 35 such grants awarded to McGill Applicants.

In addition, her project entitled, "Datum: le droit et éthique des recherches en sciences de la santé" has been selected for funding by the Fondation du Barreau du Québec. This funding was awarded in an effort to better understand the impact of technologies on our society. In particular, this application was developed with a law student in Dr. Ferrari's group, Daniel Powell. Daniel Powell is passionate about technology, mental health, and the law. Currently completing an LLM (Thesis) at McGill University, Faculty of Law, he is especially interested in studying the governance of trust between digital platforms and their users. He joins the Ludic Mind team with a desire to improve mental health care.

Congratulations to Dr. Ferrari and her team!
