Dr. Marie-Claude Geoffroy and Dr. Sylvia Villeneuve feature in the new documentary series Generations Under Pressure, broadcast on Savoir média and available free of charge on its web platform.
In episode 2, L’adolescence anxieuse (Anxious Adolescence), Dr. Geoffroy shares her expertise on adolescent mental health.
Today’s teenagers are living under pressure. As a post-pandemic generation, caught between screens, pressure to perform, anxiety and an uncertain future, their carefree nature is fading. Overwhelmed by constant comparison and mental overload, their brains are seeking a little peace and quiet.
In episode 6, Le grand oubli, (the Great Forgetfulness), Dr Sylvia Villeneuve discusses issues related to cognitive ageing and the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases.
Beyond the age of 75, the ageing of the brain weakens memory. Alzheimer’s disease, influenced by stress, sleep and diet, may no longer be inevitable.
The series explores mental health issues and the contemporary challenges faced by different generations. It will be available online from 29 April, with a new episode released every week.
The series will be broadcast across several platforms, including online, on YouTube and on television, with weekly episodes from 29 April.
Episode 2 will be broadcast on Thursday 7 May and Episode 6 on Wednesday 3 June.
