*** Extended deadline February 14th 2022, 5PM ***
To all Douglas students and postdocs: The Douglas Research Blitz is continuing this year in an online format, for sharing and discussing our research!
- Do you want to practice your presentation skills?
- Do you have a project idea and would like peer feedback?
- Do you have a brand new result that you can’t wait to share?
- Did you design a cool new technique and want others to know about it?
- Or maybe you are interested in virtually networking with fellow researchers in a casual setting?
If any of these sounds appealing, then the Douglas Research Blitz is for you!
The Research Blitz will feature a series of short presentations (3-5 min each, 3 slides max) followed by feedback and discussion. It will take place on Friday, February 25th 2022, from 11 am to 12 pm via Zoom (link to be sent later).
If you are interested in presenting, we invite you to submit a short outline of your presentation (maximum of 125 words) in English or French to douglas.academic.life@gmail.com before Monday, February 14th at 5pm. Please also provide a short title, your level of study, and the name of the PI who supervises you. Possible presentation topics include a proposed project idea, collected data, laboratory/statistical techniques, and other topics related to your research. It does not need to be a finalized and well-polished study! Applicants will be notified soon after the deadline whether they were selected to present.
As this event is designed with a focus for presentations by trainees, we welcome submissions from all students and postdocs of the research centre (research assistants are allowed to submit as well), and highly encourage attendance from PIs and staff alike!
Looking forward to seeing you at the Research Blitz!
