Funding Opportunities

For all funding applications, applicants must complete the Douglas OSR Funding Checklist at minimum 7 business days before the grant deadline, unless otherwise indicated (please note that for CIHR Project grants, checklists must be submitted at the time of registration – 1 month before the CIHR deadline).

For grant submissions requiring institutional submission (via an electronic portal) or institutional signatures, the Nominated Principal Applicant must submit their grant, including their full budget, at least 3 business days in advance of the funding agency deadline. The three-day deadline is intended to allow maximum time for applicants to work on their application, while ensuring that the Douglas Office for Sponsored Research (OSR) be able to complete a due diligence review of the application and secure institutional signatures in a timely fashion. The Douglas internal deadline listed in the Table below is based on requiring at least 3 business days.

The Nominated Principal Applicant must request the Institutional Letters at least 1 week (5 business days) before the Douglas submission deadline.

For compliance and regulatory information (eg. sub-recipient questionnaires, certifications, financial, forms, commitment forms, and other documentation) required for application to PHAC, Health Canada, NIH, and other funding agencies, applications from the Douglas must request the information to the Douglas Office for Sponsored Research (subventionsadmin.comtl@ssss.gouv.qc.ca) at least 10 business days before the Douglas internal submission deadline.
