The Principal Investigator is looking for a very motivated and autonomous casual research assistant with great attention to details and knowledge/interest in the field of epidemiological research for a temporary part-time position: approximately 2 days per week (e.g. 10-15 hours per week) starting as soon as possible. The initial contract will be for 3 months, with possibility of renewal.

The research assistant will report to the Principal Investigator (PI) who is based at the McGill University Campus (Education Building) and Douglas Mental Health University Institute.

The casual Research Assistant will assist the PI and will support the research team in their various projects. Tasks will include preparing material for an upcoming data collection and ethics documents, formatting manuscripts for submission according to journal requirements, helping with statistical analysis (variables coding, data analyses), organizing files.


WORKING CONDITIONS: Status: Temporary, part-time, 10-15 hours/week

  • MSc in psychology, counselling/school psychology, epidemiology, psychiatry (mental health-related field)
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of Endnote and SPSS (syntax)
  • Good communication and time-management skills
