Douglas students chosen as finalists for McGill’s 3-minute thesis

Once again, McGill has organized a Three Minute Thesis| Ma thèse en 180 secondes challenge, and had over 150 applicants. Over several weeks, candidates gave their 3-minute talks and 15 finalists have been selected. We are extremely pleased to announce that some of our own Douglas trainees have made it to the finalist stage.

Congratulations to Lyne Baaj (Rabin Lab), Claudia Belliveau (Mechawar Lab), Samuel Calmels (Debruille Lab), Candice Canonne (Mechawar Lab) and Pascale Ibrahim (Turecki Lab), who have been selected as finalists for McGill’s 3-MT!

These talks are organized in partnership with Acfas (Ma thèse en 180 secondes) and The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®; founded by the University of Queensland), an internationally recognized competition for thesis-based graduate students. McGill’s winner will go on to represent the university in these provincial and national competitions.

You are cordially invited to join us for this exciting event where you’ll have the opportunity to cheer on our candidates and vote for the People’s Choice Award. Judges will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.  3MT/MT180 Presentations will be given in English or French.

Étudiants du Douglas choisies comme finalistes pour l’événement “Ma thèse en 180 secondes” de McGill

Cette année encore, McGill organise son défi Three Minute Thesis| Ma thèse en 180 secondes challenge, pour lequel plus de 150 candidats ont répondu à l’appel ! Au cours de plusieurs semaines, ces candidats ont donné des prestations de 3 minutes et 15 finalistes ont été choisis. Nous sommes très fiers d’annoncer que parmi eux figurent des étudiantes du Douglas.

Félicitations à Lyne Baaj (Laboratoire Rabin), Claudia Belliveau (Laboratoire Mechawar), Samuel Calmels (Debruille Lab), Candice Canonne (Laboratoire Mechawar) et Pascale Ibrahim (Laboratoire Turecki), qui ont été sélectionnées comme finalistes!

Ces conférences sont organisées en partenariat avec l’Acfas (Ma thèse en 180 secondes) et The Three Minute Thesis (3MT® ; fondé par l’Université du Queensland), un concours internationalement reconnu pour les étudiants diplômés qui rédigent une thèse. Le lauréat ou la lauréate de McGill représentera l’Université dans ces concours provinciaux et nationaux.
