As a former information professional at UETMISSS, he brings a global perspective to data protection in the healthcare sector, drawing on his expertise in document and information management.

From Law to Practice: PIAs (EFVPs) in Research at COMTL

Abstract

This conference will focus on the new Health and Social Services Information Act (Bill 5) implications for research at CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal (COMTL). It will discuss the new legal framework for Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs, known as ÉFVP in French) and their essential role in obtaining information access authorizations without consent. Practical tips and strategies will be presented to facilitate the implementation of these legal requirements in research projects.
