Understanding youth mental health, intergenerational justice, post-traumatic growth and citizenship
About the Speaker
Dr Gerald Jordan is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Birmingham, a core member of the Institute for Mental Health, and Deputy at the Centre for Urban Wellbeing’s Community, Policy and Power theme. He leads the EDI strategy for the Centre for National Training and Research Excellence in Understanding Behaviour, is an Associate Editor of BMC Psychiatry, and a Fellow of the Yale Franke Program in Science and the Humanities. He leads the Reach Collective, an interdisciplinary, community – health – and third sector facing research group focused on understanding and applying humanistic and citizenship-based approaches to mental health recovery in the context of intergenerational inequities that are negatively affecting many young people’s lives.
