Learning objectives:

Learn about computational psychiatry and its different domains (such as modelling and prediction)
Become familiar with the process for developing and then deploying a digital health/artificial intelligence intervention in vivo
Learn how digital health technology, computational psychiatry, and well-established methods, such as rTMS and imaging, can be integrated into a process for furthering our understanding and treatment of mental illness

Bio:

David Benrimoh is a 5th year psychiatry resident at McGill University. He obtained his medical degree from McGill and also completed two Masters during residency: The first was in neuroscience with a focus on computational accounts of auditory hallucinations, under the supervision of Karl Friston at UCL. The second was in psychiatry, with a focus on transdiagnostic imaging in psychosis, under Simon Ducharme and Bratislav Misic at McGill.

David is also co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Aifred Health, a digital mental health startup focused on building and testing AI-powered clinical decision support tools which recently was a finalist in the global IBM Watson AI XPRIZE. After completing a fellowship in neuropsychiatry and rTMS at Stanford next year, David hopes to start a lab focused on applying the principles of computational psychiatry to developing and testing new treatment protocols.
