Declarative memory network organization in epilepsy

Presentation abstract

This presentation highlights three complementary projects examining large-scale cortical organization, activity flow underlying memory-related brain activation, and the dynamic functional states supporting declarative memory. Together, this work aims to advance our understanding of memory network dysfunction in epilepsy and identify potential network-based biomarkers relevant to patient-specific surgical prognostication.

Biography

Donna Gift Cabalo is a PhD student supervised by Dr. Boris Bernhardt. Donna’s PhD research aims to characterize the organization and reorganization of declarative memory networks in healthy individuals and patients with common forms of pharmacoresistant epilepsy.
