L’Alliance en Santé Mentale du Québec (ASMQ) brings together Québec’s three university mental health institutes and their respective research centers:
- Douglas Research Centre
- CERVO Research Centre
- Research Rentre of the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal
The ASMQ is united around a common vision to better measure mental health issues through objective markers of illness, and to develop innovative new interventions.
Three main axes of research have been identified to meet these needs:
- Leveraging existing data
- Collection of new shared data
- Development of innovative interventions
The Douglas is in charge of conducting new joint data collections, with the following objectives:
- Creation of a structure and procedures for large-scale common data collections
- Support for the Quebec Mental Health Speech Bank, with harmonized procedures for data collection, storage, curation and “open” sharing.
- Launch of new joint data collection projects, particularly in connection with connected objects
